Dr du Toit manages all patients in accordance with the NICE (National institute for clinical excellence), European and American urological associations' guidelines. Rarely does treatment veer from these recommendations unless risk benefit ratio is low and costs justified.
Communication, partnership and teamwork
In his practice, Dr Kenny du Toit aims to ensure good patient and staff communication. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is essential to safe patient management. GP and staff seminars addresses teaching and training needs. All of the above, plus partnership with patients, leads to excellent and safe service provision.
Knowledge, skills and performance
In keeping with his ties to Stellenbosch University, Dr du Toit aims to maintain the standards set out by the HPCSA and GMC. In doing this he ensures competency in all aspects of his work, including patient management, research and teaching (much lacking in the private sector). He continually strives to maintain his knowledge while enhancing his operating skills. International ties are maintained to ensure standards are upheld. Yearly revalidation, to maintain his license to practice in the UK, is also performed.
Dr du Toit consults at Rondebosch Medical Centre, showing respect to his patients and colleagues. These he treats fairly, without discrimination or bias. Honesty with patients and integrity are the corner stones of his practice.
